65 Hindlabs in Maharashtra – reduce the out of pocket expense in healthcare 2017

Operations were started for the 65 diagnostic labs established by HLL in the 34 districts of Maharashtra for providing laboratory testing services to the public in government hospital centers under DHS, more particularly at the level of PHCs, CHCs, WHs, MHs, GHs, District Hospitals and RRH ( Super speciality Hospitals).

The Hindlabs collection centres have started operations from all the 2301 government hospital centres in 34 districts of Maharashtra and the samples are transported to the connected 65 labs for testing and reporting .The project is managed successfully with a software support for timely transfer of test reports and the real time status of the project is visible in the project dashboard. The 65 labs of HLL are well equipped with latest automated equipment, high-end reagents, and well qualified laboratory personnel. HLL has positioned 38 specialized Pathologists to monitor and supervise the daily operations of labs and ensure the quality assurance of testing & reporting.

HLL has provided the laboratory services to more than 10 lakh patients in Maharashtra and the project is successfully operated by an average daily patient sample of 10,000 as per the current reports. HLL is adding another 20-30 mini labs in taluk level mainly to cater to the patient sample processing from PHCs which are now processed at the major labs, enabling to deliver the results on time without any delay, so that the patent shall receive the timely diagnosis and treatment.

A full-fledged Microbiology lab has started operations from HLL office building Khargar, Navi Mumbai for conducting microbiology tests for samples received from all the 34 districts.  A 24x7 customer care centre shall be established at HLL office space to monitor /manage the project connecting 34 districts and 90 labs at the earliest.

The diagnostic tests are now made available to the public in the remotest villages of Maharashtra. The project is bridging the gap using the state-of-the-art laboratories of HLL having all the divisions like haematology, pathology, biochemistry, immunoassay and microbiology”.
