HLL Lifecare opens Hindlabs MRI Scan Centre at Alappuzha Medical College
HLL Lifecare Limited opened its second Hindlabs MRI Scan Centre in Alappuzha Medical College at Vandanam. The centre was inaugurated by the State Chief Minister Sri.V.S.Achuthanandan on 12 January 2010. The State Finance Minister Sri. T.M. Thomas Isaac, Health Minister Smt. P.K.Sreemathi, Transport Minister Sri. Jose Thettayil, Cooperation Minister Sri. G.Sudhakaran, PWD Minister Sri. P.J.Joseph, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sri. C.Divakaran, Water Resources Minister Sri. N.K. Premachandran, MPs, MLAs and other dignitaries were present during the occasion. The Hindlabs MRI Scan Centre has been set up at the Alappuzha MCH apart from Kottayam and Thrissur MCHs as per the MoU inked with the State Government. The Scan centre at Alapuzha has been set up by spending Rs. 7 Crores.
HLL’s first Hindlabs MRI Scan Centre was opened at Medical College Hospital, Thrissur by Health Minister Smt. P. K. Sreemathi Teacher in August 2009. The Hindlabs MRI Centre at Kottayam will be opened soon.
HLL in its endeavor to become a comprehensive healthcare player had ventured into the diagnostic services business, by opening its first Lab at R.K.Puram, New Delhi, offering diagnostic services to CGHS customers, The Diagnostic foray of HLL, aims to provide quality diagnostic service at affordable rates across the country.
As part of Hindlabs expansion in Kerala, HLL entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Govt. of Kerala on 1st of November, 2008 to setup MRI Scan Centres at Thrissur, Alappuzha and Kottayam Medical College Hospitals. As per the agreement, Government of Kerala would provide HLL space for running Hindlabs MRI Scan Centre and HLL would in turn provide quality MRI scan service at a subsidized rate in consent with Government of Kerala. Outside patients can also utilize the MRI Scan Service from the Medical College Hospital at reduced rates. HLL would provide free MRI Scan Service to BPL patients in one out of ten in-patient customer basis.
The Hindlabs MRI Scan Centre would provide state of the art facility with modern 1.5 Tesla scan machine. In addition to the installed MRI machine, HLL has posted man power for the lab including Senior Radiologist, Doctors, Radiographers, Nurse, etc. and would operate the MRI Scan Centre. The MRI machine would also be of great benefit to the M D Radiology students in the three Medical Colleges as MRI Machine is a pre requisite for conducting M D Radiology Course in Medical Colleges. Through the advanced teleradiology service which would be added later to these scans centres, which would help the doctors to view the MRI Scan Images of the patients and issue their reports through internet.
